As you can see in the photo from one of our completed projects in Prince William County, Va., Super Silt Fence is a combination of chain link fence, metal posts, and woven polypropylene material. The reinforced fence helps control high volumes of sediment runoff from active construction sites. Stronger than regular silt fence, it’s most commonly used in areas where a large amount of erosion is anticipated such as the lower elevations of job sites and the bottom of slopes. While the installation costs of Super Silt Fence is higher than standard Silt Fence, when taking into account maintenance costs and environmental benefits, installing Super Silt Fence can be the more economical choice.
