Pratt Street Waterline Replacement

Overview

The Pratt Street Waterline is a utilities project in Stafford County, Virginia, that replaces aging potable water infrastructure serving the Chatham Heights neighborhood. Muller is installing a new 8-inch PVC waterline along Pratt Street, connecting it to the existing system, and transferring residential services to the new main. The work also includes 5/8-inch meter assemblies, 1-inch copper service lines, gate valves, fire hydrants, and flushing hydrants.

Construction will takes place within an existing residential roadway and includes test pits to confirm underground conditions before mainline and service work proceeds. Muller is also providing erosion and sediment controls, stone backfill, roadway milling, asphalt overlay, and final site restoration. Once complete, the new waterline will improve circulation and reliability while reducing service disruptions and ongoing maintenance needs for Stafford County.
