Montclair Neighborhood Library BMP Maintenance

Overview

Montclair Neighborhood Library BMP Maintenance was a stormwater maintenance project in Dumfries, Virginia, completed for Prince William County. Muller performed maintenance across four stormwater BMP facilities at the library, including a stormwater pond, a bioretention area near the parking garage, an underground detention facility, and a Filterra unit.

At the pond and bioretention area, crews removed trash and sediment from riprap inflows, cleared vegetation around inflows and outfalls, and stabilized disturbed areas. The work improved access to key stormwater components and restored surface conditions around the facilities.

Muller also used jet/vac equipment to flush, clean, and vacuum the underground detention system and remove accumulated material from the site. At the Filterra unit, crews removed sediment and vegetation at the inlet, replaced the mulch layer, refreshed the surge stone dissipator with #57 stone, and completed tree replacement.

Upon completion, Muller provided a maintenance activity report with photos documenting the work across all four facilities.
