Muller’s Secure Federal Facility Site Improvements project was a confidential site development project at an active, access-controlled federal facility in Northern Virginia. Muller served as prime contractor for a parking area expansion that connects to an existing lot and supports continued use of the facility. The completed scope included site layout, clearing and grubbing, demolition, erosion and sediment controls, earthwork, storm drainage, concrete, paving, lighting, and final stabilization.
Site work included topsoil stripping, excavation, structural fill placement, and construction of a cast-in-place concrete retaining wall to support grade transitions around the parking expansion. Muller also installed storm drainage and riprap stabilization, placed aggregate base and concrete flatwork, completed asphalt paving, installed guardrail and line striping, and constructed a concrete-encased duct bank to support future site infrastructure.
The project required careful sequencing within an active secure facility where access control, personnel clearance, and trade coordination affected daily operations. Muller coordinated civil, electrical, paving, and stabilization activities to maintain safety, quality, and efficient progression while meeting the requirements of a security-sensitive site.
