Title:  Superintendent, Stormwater Installation Division

Type:  Full time, exempt

Location:  Manassas, VA

Reports To:  Director, Stormwater Solution Division

We are a growing and hungry Site Construction Company that works throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.  As a successful contracting business, we are looking for a knowledgeable and hardworking Superintendent to join our team on a long-term basis.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Manage all on-site construction of a variety of stormwater management facilities including bioretention facilities, rain gardens, bioswales, tree pits, chambers, permeable pavers, sand filters, filterra boxes, infiltration trenches, ponds and other BMP’s.

  • Manage storm drain pipe and storm drain structure installation projects.

  • Manage operators and crews in a hands-on basis to make sure all BMP facilities are built per plan, on-time and under budget.

  • Coordinate with client’s field team to confirm construction schedule and sequence.

  • Work with project PM to document critical construction points, material information and direction given by client.

  • Stock sea container with supplies and look for ways to run jobs more efficiently.

  • Operate equipment from time to time as needed.


  • Minimum 10 years of site work construction experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience of operating excavators, loaders and dozers

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience reading stake out, shooting grades and using surveying equipment

  • Some experience relating to and desire to learn more about Green Infrastructure & Low Impact Development

  • Must be looking for a long-term position

  • Must have some experience managing crews

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a Ford 450 with trailer

  • Must have a proven track record of having responsibility and being trustworthy

  • Must have strong communication skills

Accounts Payable Specialist 

Title:  Accounts Payable Specialist 

Type:  Full time, exempt

Location:  Falls Church, VA

Reports To:  Office Manager   

With the growth of our business, our Accounting Department is expanding. Muller Erosion is seeking to hire a Full-Time organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. Reporting directly to our Office Manager, the Accounts Payables Specialist will be responsible for providing full-cycle accounts payable support, enter vendor invoices and assist with overall routine accounting duties. 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Enter all vendor invoices/payables into QuickBooks in an accurate manner for several entities

  • Price check applicable vendor invoices

  • Follow up with vendor Account Receivables contact on incorrect invoices for corrections to be made

  • Route vendor invoices/payables to appropriate team member(s) for approval

  • Prepare all vendor invoices for bi-weekly review by owner

  • Prepare summary payables spreadsheet after vendor invoices have been approved for payment by owner prior to checks being cut  

  • Must be able to type 38-40 words per minute 


  • Minimum GED or equivalent (preferred Associates Degree in Accounting or related field)

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with QuickBooks required (or similar accounting software i.e. Quicken, Microsoft Dynamic, FreshBooks)

  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience with Accounting/Accounts Payables

  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications and basic accounting software packages

  • Excel proficiency is preferred 

  • Must be mathematically inclined and comfortable working with numbers

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks at a time

  • Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision 

  • Experience working in a fast paced, deadline-based environment

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to facilitate interaction between internal teams, customers and vendors

Field Recruiter (Contract Position)

Title:  Bilingual Field Recruiter  (Secondary Income Remote Opportunity)

Type:  Contract Only

Location:  Falls Church, VA

Reports To:  Vice President 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Use strategic planning skills to implement an innovative talent acquisition plan and develop a strong external bench of talent that meets Muller Erosion & Site Services’ talent acquisition standards

  • Meet and network with blue collar workers at local businesses (Home Depot, Lowes, WaWa, Sheets etc.) and encourage them to come to our yard to apply

  • Perform full lifecycle recruiting which includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, compliance, and coordinating communication with new hires

  • Partner with local businesses and organizations (government job placement agencies, churches, soccer leagues, non-profits, shopping centers, businesses) to host recruiting events and interview candidates who have site construction/related industry or landscape industry backgrounds (laborers, foremen, excavators, operators, CDL drivers)

  • Communicate with management identified candidate leads, and provide status updates

The recruiter will work independently to identify and attract top talent to help build and maintain a skilled workforce. The goal is to have enough quality field employees to fill the office orders. The responsibilities will require them to network with industry contacts, and partner with local businesses to organize and attend recruiting events. Recruiter must be fluent in both Spanish and English.


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with blue collar employees

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in recruiting or sales

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)

  • Fluent Spanish and English

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and familiar with the Northern Virginia area

  • Comfortable working in outdoor conditions

  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly

  • Genuinely enjoys networking and likes talking to people
